Gerindra Praises Puan For Not Instructing Letter Rights: Statewan Sejati

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, praised the attitude of the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, who stated that there was no instruction to her faction to apply for the right of inquiry for alleged fraud in the 2024 General Election. According to her, Puan's attitude shows the attitude of a statesman.

"This statement is very soothing for the people at the grassroots. We really appreciate Mrs. Puan who has acted as a true statesman," Habiburokhman told reporters, Saturday, March 30.

The Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR assessed that the right of inquiry is not something that is a priority. He also invited the election-loss party to immediately move on so that there would be no dispute between the nation's children.

"(Angket rights) It even has the potential to trigger very unproductive noise. It is time for all of us to move on from election disputes. We must immediately unite and work hard to return to serve the people," said Habiburokhman.

The East Jakarta electoral district legislator said that it is better for council members to focus on completing their laws and regulations. Moreover, he said, the working period of members of the DPR RI for the 2019-2024 period is only a few months away.

"We should use it to mention the ratification of several important draft laws that have not been completed, including the law on criminal procedural law laws, laws on the Constitutional Court and others," said Habiburokhman.
