The North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda) increased security to anticipate disturbances in security and public order (kamtibmas) on Good Friday or the commemoration of the death of Jesus Christ and Easter celebrations.

"The North Sumatra Police and their ranks are taking steps by increasing early detection of security and social order disturbances during the commemoration of the death of Jesus Christ, this Easter celebration and national holiday," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi in Medan, Thursday, March 28.

Hadi continued that his party also carried out sterilization in churches that commemorated the death of Jesus Christ and the Easter celebration.
