BOGOR - Chairman of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Bogor City, West Java Atang Trisnanto encouraged the local government to provide basic food assistance, mukena, koko clothes, cash and other necessities such as "Thr Lebaran" for 1,064 residents affected by the disaster in the last three months as coverage ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriyah.

Atang assessed that assistance such as "THR Lebaran" for residents affected by disasters who have to evacuate, or are still in their homes in disaster-prone areas, their need ahead of Eid al-Fitr needs to be a concern for the government, so that they can still get joy on the day of victory.

"Essensibility of Eid al-Fitr is victory against lust, increasing empathy, our sympathy for others. Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr are included in the months of this year's rainy season, with extreme weather, thousands of our citizens are affected by disasters. I encourage there to be a kind of "THR Lebaran" for them, for their joy on holidays," said Atang Thursday, March 28.

According to data from the Bogor City BPBD in the last three months, starting from January to last Sunday there were 137 houses affected by floods, landslides, fallen trees, fires or houses collapsed because they were fragile.

The condition of the building started from minor damage, moderate damage and severe damage, with details in January 52 affected houses, February as many as 46 affected houses and temporary data on March there were 39 affected houses.

Of the 137 houses damaged by the disaster, there were 1,064 people from the 324 family cards (KK) whose occupants had to evacuate or stay at full risk of further disasters.

Atang is of the view that the disaster response budget at unexpected costs (BTT) in the Hawking season can be set aside to provide assistance to affected residents, not only for evacuation purposes, evacuation needs, but also for maintaining their enthusiasm and spiritual atmosphere ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

The DPRD together with the Bogor City Government have prepared a BTT budget up to three times from 2019 in the 2024 regional budget, with a total value of IDR 98.5 billion from IDR 30 billion previously.

Atang explained, from the BTT budget, the Perumkim Service and the PUPR Service could immediately propose all the needs for repairing damaged houses, plasters or other buildings.

Meanwhile, the government through the Social Service can calculate, set aside and cooperate with entrepreneurs, civil servants, councils to provide assistance to "THR Lebaran" to those affected by the disaster.

"It doesn't have to be big, but there is our concern for disaster-affected residents in the midst of damaged homes, increasing needs, rising prices. This is truly humanitarian and caring for the government and empathy of fellow religious communities," he said.

The government, said Atang, can verify and validate the conditions of those affected by the disaster during the last three months ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr to determine how many and what might be provided as a help or u "THR Lebaran".

Alternative budgets that can be used to provide "Thr Lebaran" affected residents can be allocated from the company's social assistance budget, civil servants, council and CSR or social and environmental responsibilities (TJSL).

"I think this is the right moment to ensure that the government and people's representatives are consistent, continue to work, respond to community members until the end of the term of office which is only a matter of this month. Eid al-Fitr must be difficult for residents affected by the disaster, don't let them just wait for the mercy of neighbors, the government, the council and entrepreneurs, let's keep the budget "THR Lebaran" for them," said Atang.

In the City BPBD report, it was recorded that there were 28 disaster points with three deaths. First, the incident occurred in Lebak Kantin Village, RT 002/007, Sempur Village, Central Bogor District. Where, there were two people buried by landslides.

Then, the second incident occurred in Kampung Pangkalan, RT 006/002, Cibuluh Village, North Bogor District. Where, four people were crushed by the rubble of the building due to the landslide that occurred. Of the four people who, three people were injured and one person died.

"We are very concerned and this is something that needs to be addressed by increasing awareness of disasters, especially during transitional weather during the transition of the season where the intensity of rain is very high and occurs suddenly," said Atang.

So far, Atang assesses that the Bogor City Government is quite responsive to disaster events. However, the problem in the future is how to continue educating residents of Bogor City so that people live in areas with high potential disasters so that they want to be relocated to safer places.
