The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has named Harvey Moeis as a new suspect in the alleged corruption case in the tin commodity trading system of the Mining Business Permit (IUP) PT Timah Tbk for the 2015 to 2023 period. His role is to accommodate illegal miners.

The Director of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the AGO, Kuntadi, said that Harvey Moeis, who is a representative of PT Rifined Bangka Tin (RBT), established communication with the suspect MRPT alias RZ as the President Director of PT Timah Tbk. The purpose of the communication is to accommodate illegal tin mining

"That around 2018 to 2019 the suspect HM contacted the Main Directorate of PT Timah, namely MRPT in order to accommodate illegal mining activities in the IUO area of PT Timah," Kuntadi told reporters, Wednesday, March 27.

After Harvey Moeis and MRPT met several times, they were agreed on accommodating the illegal miners.

However, to disguise it, it is used as a mode as if there was cooperation in renting tin smelting equipment.

"Finally, it was agreed that the illegal aviation fuel activity was covered by rental activities to rent tin smelting processing equipment," continued Kuntadi.

In addition, Harvey Moeis also invited four other companies to be involved in accommodating these illegal miners. The companies include PT SIP; CV VIF; PT SPS; and PT TIN.

After everything went on, the suspect asked the smelters to provide the benefits they had made.

The distribution of money also uses the mode of distributing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds through the company Helena Lim.

"The suspect HM asked the smelters to fill out some of their profits, handed over to the person concerned under the pretext of paying CSR funds sent by these smelters to the person concerned through PT QSE facilitated by the suspect HLN," said Kuntadi.

In this case, Sandara Dewi's husband was immediately detained at the Salemba Rutan at the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office for the next 20 days. The reason is to simplify the investigation process.

In this case, Harvey Moeis is suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph 1 and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code
