West Java Provincial Government Ensures Repair Of Roads With Holes Completed D-10 Lebaran

BANDUNG - The West Java Provincial Government has confirmed that the repair of potholes in its area, which reaches 320 points, will be completed 10 days before or D-10 Eid Al-Fitr 2024.

"The conditions for toll road infrastructure are good. Regarding roads in West Java that are passed by travelers, there are 320 holes and that is being repaired and will be completed 10 days before Lebaran," said Acting Governor of West Java Bey Kalihi Machmudin as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 27.

In addition to repairing roads that continue to be carried out, Bey said the West Java Forkopimda also ensures safety and comfort by presenting a combined personnel of 27,162 people at a point prone to congestion.

This, said Bey, is to ensure that the implementation of homecoming in the West Java region runs safely, comfortably, and smoothly.

"Today at the West Java Regional Police, a coordination meeting was held ahead of the homecoming and return flow, as well as Operation Ketupat Lodaya. There were 27,162 personnel prepared, 16,000 from the National Police, 245 Police Headquarters, the rest TNI, and other agencies," he said.

Bey revealed that the movement of people in celebrating Eid al-Fitr in their hometowns will be anticipated to ensure that every citizen can carry out their worship safely, comfortably, and peacefully.

Therefore, cross-sectoral coordination is an important key in the implementation of the 2024 homecoming flow.

"Of course, the main key coordination, especially providing security and comfort as long as people celebrate Eid al-Fitr," he said.

Not only that, Bey revealed that there will be vehicle congestion on toll roads and the north and south of West Java with the prediction that the homecoming flow will occur on April 6 and backflow on April 15, 2024.

"The density is on toll roads and the northern area, starting from Karawang-Cikampek to Brebes. Meanwhile, in the southern region starting from Malangbong-Nagreg-Tasikmalaya," he said.

The density of vehicles is confirmed to have occurred in the northern and southern regions of West Java because based on this year's national data survey, around 193 million people are carrying out the most homecoming trips in Indonesia.

"For safe and contraflow-related toll roads, simulations have been carried out. We are optimistic that it will run smoothly because the experience of the Christmas and New Year holidays is quite good even though it is expected that there will be a homecoming jump," said Bey.
