Australian Citizens Deported For Promoting Spa Owned By Girlfriend In Bali

A male Australian with the initials JEDY (31) was deported by officers from the Class II TPI Singaraja Immigration Office, Bali, because he was proven to have carried out activities that were not in accordance with his residence permit while on the Island of the Gods.

Based on the examination, this foreigner abused his residence permit by promoting or offering his girlfriend's SPA business, even though the visa used to enter Indonesia was a visit visa.

"The person concerned has violated Article 75 paragraph (1) Jo. Article 122 letter a of Law Number 6, Year 2011 concerning immigration. On this basis, the foreigner is subject to deportation and deterrence," said Head of the Singaraja Immigration Office, Hendra Setiawan, Wednesday, March 27.

The foreigner was deported through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on a Jetstar flight with the final destination of Melbourne, Australia, on Tuesday (26/3).

The foreigner carried out Spa business promotion and offering activities in Bali through social media Facebook since February 12, 2024 and the SPA business that was promoted belonged to his girlfriend and foreigner was arrested in Amed Village, Karangasem Regency, Bali.

In addition, this foreigner is known to have entered Indonesian territory on February 23, 2024 and has returned to Bali and has a lover in Amed Village, Abang District, Karangasem Regency, Bali.

"He has repeatedly entered Bali because he has a girlfriend in the Sanur area, Denpasar, who happens to be Amed's real girlfriend, Karangasem," he said.

Hendra conveyed that the Singaraja Immigration Office, Buleleng, Bali, carried out supervision of the activities of foreigners in Singaraja Immigration working areas in collaboration with other relevant government agencies.

"We don't want the existence of foreigners who should be useful, instead making concessions or detrimental to the economy of local residents. For that, we hope that the participation of the community in supervising the activities of foreigners around them," he said.
