Delfianus Kogoya Victims Of Violence Of TNI Members Reportedly Died

JAYAPURA - Head of the representative office of Komnas HAM Papua Frits Ramanday said that from reports received by victims of violence allegedly committed by soldiers Yonif 300/Bjw had died in Ilaga, Puncak Regency, Central Papua.

"The victim who was tortured named Delfianus Kogoya died after being taken to the Ilaga Health Center," Frits Ramanday said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 26.

Frits explained that the violence perpetrated by Yonif 300/Bjw members was expected last February in Ilaga.

The victim, after being tortured, was then handed over to the Puncak Police in Ilaga, but because his body was filled with wounds, he was then taken to the hospital which was later declared dead.

"But to make sure we wait for the results of the investigation that is currently being carried out by Pomdam III/Siliwangi," said Frits while hoping that Komnas HAM would be given the opportunity to ask for information from soldiers suspected of being perpetrators of violence.

Komnas HAM hopes to be given the opportunity to ask for information from the alleged perpetrators to support law enforcement

In addition, Komnas HAM hopes that the Papua Police will immediately announce whether the victim has an affiliation with the KKB
