Taiwan Air Defense Test In The Aftermath Of China's Wara-Wiri Military Planes At The Border

JAKARTA - Taiwan held an air defense test on Tuesday, March 26 morning local time. Missiles were fired into the air, soldiers of the AD, AU and AL Taiwan were involved in this military exercise.

This activity is related to Taiwan's preparedness to deal with Chinese military activities that are often carried out in waters and the Taiwanese border.

Taiwan, which is said to have been part of China for the past four years, complained that Indonesian Air Force aircraft and Chinese Navy ships were operating near and around their territory.

"In dealing with Chinese aircraft and ships that often violate the boundaries of the sea and air areas around Taiwan, the air force (AU) will continue to increase its training intensity to deal with potential threats," read a Taiwanese AU statement, Tuesday, March 26, quoted by Reuters.

Taiwanese Air Force Command said it had carried out air defense tests using domestically made Sky Bow surface-to-air missiles and Patriot missiles made in the United States (US).

This exercise is to re-check combat operations capabilities that focus on joint air defenses. According to Taiwanese Air Force Command, the results in this exercise are encouraging.

Separately, a spokesman for the defense ministry Sun Li-fang said that although it was not in direct contact, Taiwan's routine defense exercises were in anticipation of threats from China that persisted.

"How to improve our overall military capabilities is very important," he told reporters in Suao, the location of the Taiwanese Navy base.
