Dry Season In Central Java May 2024, BMKG Estimates At Most 7 Months

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the Central Java (Central Java) region will generally enter the dry season in May 2024.

Head of BMKG Central Java Climatology Station Sukasno said the earliest dry season would occur in mid-April 2024.

Some areas that are expected to enter the dry season at the earliest include the southern part of Rembang Regency and parts of Blora and Pati Regencies.

"The dry peak is expected to occur between July and August 2024," he said in a press release in Semarang, Tuesday, March 26, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to him, the length of this year's dry season is generally between 4 and 5 months, and a maximum of 7 months.

He added that the anomaly of the surface temperature of Indonesian waters from April to September 2024 is predicted to be warm.

According to him, Australian Monsoon is predicted to be actively entering Indonesian territory in April 2024.

"During the transition period from rainy to dry season, people are advised to be aware of extreme weather," he said.
