Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Hadi Tjahjanto said the government is ready to provide security for religious activities, such as Easter and Eid.

Hadi said this after holding an intelligence coordination meeting related to securing religious holidays, namely Easter and Eid al-Fitr 2024.

" Vigilance remains the main thing. Therefore, in the future we will carry out open and preventive security related to religious activities," Hadi said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 25.

It was explained by Hadi Pengamanan that it will be given at the Easter celebration which starts from March 28 to 31, 2024, namely from Thursday Putih, Good Friday, Saturday Sunyi, and Easter Sunday.

"Especially for the Easter commemoration, it is also carried out in churches and in open places, so preventive efforts need to be carried out to provide a sense of security to the community," he explained.

The security of Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri which took place after Easter, including the implementation of the Lebaran homecoming.

"In accordance with tradition, annual homecoming will also cause concentration of masses in various places where people gather at terminal places, airports, including we will also secure other national vital objects," he said.

The Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs has asked the National Police and the TNI to be proactive in carrying out synergistic mitigation measures for the celebration of Easter and Eid.

"It is hoped that security and order conditions can be maintained. The community can carry out worship safely, peacefully, and solemnly," he said.

The coordination meeting, said Hadi, is to provide certainty to the entire community that the situation is safe and well maintained.

"From the coordination meeting that has just been carried out, the results of the BNPT's initiative are known that the potential for acts of terrorism in Indonesia is still relatively low to medium or medium," he said.
