Prabowo After Winning The 2024 Presidential Election: I Will Carry Out The Mandate Of My Heart

JAKARTA - President-elect Prabowo Subianto stated that his victory with Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election was a victory for the people. Prabowo promised to carry out his mandate and responsibility as the 8th president of the Republic of Indonesia wholeheartedly.

This was conveyed by Prabowo during a gathering and breaking the fast together which was held at the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) at Ritz Carlton, Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta, Monday, March 25.

"This victory is the victory of the Indonesian people. I thank you that you believe in me," Prabowo said in his remarks.

The general chairman of the Gerindra Party also thanked the figures who are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition and the National Campaign Team (TKN) who have supported him and Gibran fought in the 2024 presidential election.

According to Prabowo, these great figures are a symbol of unity that the Indonesian people want.

"They support me, they support Gibran not because Prabowo is great, not because Gibran is great, but because we are a symbol of the aspirations and desires of the people," he said.

Prabowo then mentioned the mandate to become president as a noble assignment. He promised to carry out the mandate wholeheartedly and with full responsibility.

"I accept this mandate as a noble assignment as the task of the Indonesian people that I will carry out wholeheartedly, with a full sense of responsibility to the Indonesian people," concluded Prabowo.

The pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates number two Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka were officially announced as winners of the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections by the Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU).

"Determining the results of the General Election of the President and Vice President based on the minutes 218/PL.01.08.-BA/05/2024 in the 2024 General Election," said KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari when announcing the results of the national recapitulation, Wednesday, March 20.

From the recapitulation of the results of the 2024 General Election, Prabowo-Gibran won 96,214,691 votes or 58.83 percent. Followed by presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number one, Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar in second place.

Anies and Muhaimin received 40,971,906 votes or 25.05 percent. Finally, there are Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD pairs with votes of 27,040,878 or 16.53 percent.
