The Search and Rescue Team (SAR) is looking for two children who were reported missing in the current of the Cisimeut River, Cimarga District, Lebak Regency, Banten, today. Head of the Operations Section of the Banten National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) Heru Amin said the two children who were swept away by the swift currents of the river were Asila (5) and Akira (7). The incident occurred Sunday at 15:00 WIB when the victim Asila was bathing on the edge of the river and was seen drowning and trying to be helped by the victim Akira, but failed and both were swept away by the current and have not been found so far. "We hope that the search will be carried out again on Monday (25/3) tomorrow," he said. when confirmed from Rangkasbitung, Antara, Sunday, March 24. Banten Basarnas dispatched a Pandeglang SAR Alert Team and Unit to search for the two victims to the scene of the incident with a distance of 16.39 kilometers. The team coordinated with families and local residents to carry out monitoring and search around the location of the incident. However, the whereabouts of the victims were residents of Babakan Village, Margajaya Village, Cimarga District, Lebak Regency. Banten still has not been found.

"We are working with the joint SAR team including the National Police, TNI, BPBD, volunteers and local residents," he said.
