Hundreds Of Teenagers And Gangster Members Arrested By Bogor Police, Some Are Positive For Drugs

BOGOR - In order to control and maintain public security, the Bogor City Police, West Java Police secured 256 teenagers and youth members of the gangster calling themselves 'Bocimi Alliance'. They were arrested during a convoy carrying flag attributes to Bogor Regency, Friday, March 23.

Bogor City Police Chief Kombes Pol Bismo Teguh Prakoso in Bogor City, Saturday, said 256 people were tested for urine and officers confiscated several of their cell phones.

"The development of yesterday's arrests, the results of urine checks, there were two positive people who contained drugs and there were cell phones from those who had accounts for online gambling posts," said Bismo, quoted by Antara, Sunday, March 24.

Of the total 256 people arrested, Bismo said, 132 people were identified as students while 124 non-students were arrested.

Bismo explained that this gang member was arrested through isolation from various points in the border area of Bogor City which borders Bogor Regency.

According to him, the partition was carried out reflecting on the incident the day before, where there was a convoy of teenagers riding a motorcycle while carrying a flag which eventually caused traffic jams in the Jalan Tajur area.

"Yesterday, TOM, then Bocimi, then there are also other alliance groups that we have to anticipate, they should not be allowed to," he said.

From the statements of these teenagers, the reason they convoy is to distribute takjil. However, said Bismo, after being examined, none of them brought takjil but bamboo, flares, and even electric shock tools that could make people faint.

According to Bismo, the activities carried out by these gangsters have nothing to do with Ramadan activities.

"This is a group that often fights by challenging, provoking, making appointments on Instagram," said Bismo.

For the confiscated cellphones, said Bismo, analysis and cyber patrols will be carried out to find out the operators and networks.

"We will make efforts by law enforcement if there is a criminal element committed by them, or anyone indiscriminately, we will enforce the law firmly," he said.
