Koplo Pil Dealer In Bekuk, 1,600 Pieces Of Evidence Confiscated By Serang Police

SERANG - The Serang Police Narcotics Unit arrested the perpetrator of a coplo pill dealer with the initials IB (32) while wrapping the illegal drug at his home in Kopo District, Serang Regency, Banten.

Serang Police Chief AKBP Condro Sasongko, in Serang, Banten, explained that the IB perpetrator was arrested after the Narcotics Satres Team received information from the public who suspected that this unemployed was selling drugs.

"The perpetrator was arrested at his home while wrapping a coplo pill at his home in Kopo District, Serang Regency, on Thursday (21/3) at around 00.30 WIB," Condro said in his statement, Sunday, March 24.

The police chief explained that the Opsnal Team managed to secure 1,600 items of tramadol and hexymer drugs. In addition, money from the sale of drugs and one cellphone unit were also secured.

From this information, the Opsnal Team led by Ipda Ricky Handani moved to deepen information. At around 00.30 WIB, the arrest was made and the suspect was arrested while wrapping the hexymer pills into plastic clip packages.

"All the evidence that was secured was in black plastic on top of his bed," he said.

From the results of the investigation, explained the Police Chief, suspect IB admitted that he had been in the drug business for two months. The suspect received the dark AD drug which was included in the wanted list (DPO) of Muara Angke residents, West Jakarta for Rp. 2 million.

"The suspect received medicine from the Army in the West Jakarta area. However, IB did not know for sure the location of his residence because transactions were carried out on the streets," he said.

The police chief said the suspect admitted that he was forced to sell drugs to meet his daily needs, because the suspect did not have a job.

"The motive is because the suspect is blind to work, and the benefits of selling drugs are used for daily needs," he explained.

The police chief emphasized that his party would follow up on information from the public. He also firmly said that anyone involved in drugs would be prosecuted even if it was only a user.

"We urge the public to sell drugs and alcohol, regardless of type. We appreciate people who have provided information," he said.

As a result of his actions, the suspect was subject to Article 435 Jo 436 of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 317 Th 2023 concerning health with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1.5 billion.
