Prabowo Meets Surya Paloh At NasDem Tower, Cak Imin: No Response

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) was reluctant to respond to the meeting between the Chairman of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh and the President-elect in 2024 Prabowo Subianto at NasDem Tower.

"Nothing. No response," said Cak Imin when met at the AMIN Winning Headquarters, Diponegoro Street, Central Jakarta, Friday, March 22.

This afternoon, Prabowo arrived at NasDem Tower, Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, and was greeted directly by the General Chairperson of NasDem Surya Paloh. In fact, Surya even held a red carpet along Prabowo's arrival path to the building.

Raut was happy to color Surya Paloh's face since Prabowo arrived until he left at NasDem Tower. After the meeting took place, Surya admitted that this activity was carried out to maintain the friendship they had made decades ago.

"This visit is a visit to friendship, considering a long journey between the personal and personal relationship between the two of us, friendship 40 years. So, it is very very natural when I am private and of course Pak Prabowo still wants the spirit of friendship that has been fostered so far to be well maintained," said Surya at NasDem Tower, Friday, March 22.

On the one hand, Surya Paloh now opens the possibility of the NasDem Party joining the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government coalition when he officially served as President-Deputy President for the period 2024-2029.

In fact, previously Surya admitted that whether or not NasDem joined the Prabowo coalition was not a priority matter.

"Fifty-fifty, possibility, yes," said Surya.

Surya admitted that the party that carried Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar in the 2024 presidential election still has not determined whether to move closer to the new government coalition led by Prabowo. Surya is still waiting for the right moment to decide.

"We will see future developments," he said.
