Golkar Still Counts Ridwan Kamil's Chance To Win In The DKI Or West Java Pilkada

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party has not yet decided to nominate governor Ridwan Kamil to run in the DKI Jakarta Pilkada or compete again in West Java 1. The reason is, the banyan party is still counting the chances of Ridwan Kamil's victory, whether it is bigger in DKI or West Java.

Golkar Party deputy chairman Ahmad Doli Kurnia said his party had prepared 1,050 names of regional head candidates since 1.5 years ago. Either to become a candidate for governor or deputy governor candidate, a candidate for regent or deputy regent candidate as well as a candidate for mayor or deputy mayor candidate.

Doli said that currently the Golkar Party is evaluating candidates who have successfully helped win the legislative and presidential elections in their area. Because the candidate for regional head has been given a letter of assignment by the general chairman of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto.

"Especially for Banten, Mrs. Airin. Indeed, Mrs. Airin since the beginning, has projected to become a governor in Banten. Moreover, now we both know that Mrs. Airin has also succeeded in adding a Golkar seat in Banten 3. I think that is an additional reason to be quite strong. We will still nominate Mrs. Airin in Banten," said Doli at the Golkar Party DPP Office, Thursday, March 21.

Meanwhile, for DKI and West Java, continued Doli, Golkar continues to exercise in order to win again. Because, said Doli, Golkar has an 11 percent winning experience in the 2020 Pilkada.

Therefore, according to the order of the Golkar Ketum, the victory in the 2020 Pilkada must be the same or more. Moreover, Golkar increased the target of winning by 70 percent.

"For that we will see, Ridwan Kamil, who we currently give two assignment letters, one in DKI Jakarta and in West Java. Of course we will see which opportunity is the most winning," said Doli.

"The point is that we do not win in one of them, we also want to win in West Java, also in DKI Jakarta. And also want to win throughout Indonesia. That's why we will see which one is the most likely for that," he concluded.
