Korlantas Reminds Bus Drivers Not To Use Klakson Telolet Basuri

JAKARTA - Director of Law Enforcement of the Traffic Corps (Dirgakkum Korlantas) of the National Police Brigadier General Raden Slamet Santoso reminded bus drivers and operators not to put on or use 'Tellolet' horns to prevent an accident. the boy asked for a telolet in Cilegon.

"Mr. Kakorlantas has issued telegram letters to all ranks in Indonesia to take action against the provisions for using telolets," said Slamet, Thursday, March 21.

Slamet said the unfortunate incident in Cilegon, a boy was killed by a bus while asking for a telolet to be an evaluation of his party.

According to him, there have been many similar incidents that need to be anticipated.

Bus action rules using telolets are the same as taking action against Brong exhaust users.

"This telolet provision is almost the same as the provisions for exhaust brong. So use the article to take action," he said.

However, he said, this action began with socialization and a warning first. If it is understood by all bus drivers and managers, there are still those who use it, then action is taken.

"Yes, we socialized it first, we gave them a warning not to use it because some victims already exist," said Slamet.

The use of Brong exhaust violates Article 106 of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.

A similar appeal has also been conveyed by the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection asking for control of the bus fleet that uses rhythmic horns or telolets, following the death of a five-year-old child in front of the Merak Port executive pier due to a traffic accident.

The incident occurred in front of the executive dock of Merak Port, Banten, on Sunday (17/3).
