List Of Candidates For Chairperson Of PWI Jakarta, Iqbal Irsyad: Realize A Valid And Integrity PWI

JAKARTA - Approaching the deadline for registering the Candidate for the Chairperson of PWI Jakarta for the period 2024-2029 which ends on March 31, 2024, Iqbal Irsyad officially registers as one of the candidates.

Iqbal Irsyad, who is also the Editor-in-Chief (Pemred) of VOI, handed over all requirements to the Chairperson of the 2024 PWI Jaya Provincial Conference Committee (Konferprov) Budi Nugraha at the PWI Jaya Secretariat, Prasada Sasana Karya Building, on Monday, March 18, 2024, accompanied by his success team.

"Bismillah, with the support of all my friends, I officially register as a Candidate for the Chair of PWI Jakarta for the next period. Together, we strive to make PWI Jakarta a forum of quality, integrity, and have a positive impact on the government and society in a healthy information ecosystem, and continue to uphold the PWI Journalistic Code of Ethics," said Iqbal Irsyad at the location.

Iqbal Irsyad, who is a Bachelor who graduated from the Jakarta Institute of Social and Political Sciences (IISIP) and also a Bachelor of Strata-2 (S2) in the field of HR Management from Bina Bangsa University, is committed to strengthening the solidarity of DKI Jakarta PWI members through strengthening institutions, education, advocacy, welfare, and social awareness, in order to create a professional, independent, and dignified press organization.

"We will expand the reach of the DKI Jakarta PWI organization with periodic orientation activities, while maintaining member quality standards through a rigorous selection process, to produce superior and reliable human resources in the future," he explained regarding his vision and mission.

"We will form competent and loyal members of PWI Jakarta on the principles of the Journalistic Code of Ethics as well as the code of behavior of journalists," he added.

On this occasion, the Orphans participated in delivering Iqbal Irsyad in the registration process. Prayers from Orphans are expected to provide maximum support from voters, especially journalists in the DKI Jakarta area.

"We ask for prayers that PWI Jakarta and I will be better in the future," concluded Iqbal, who has been a member of PWI since 1999 and also the Assistant for Competency Tests for Journalists (UKW) from the Central PWI Institute.

On the same occasion, Berman Nainggolan also registered as a Candidate for Chairman of the PWI DKI Jakarta Province. Berman is a journalist who has long served in megapolitan coverage and has a career in International Media and is now the Chief Editor of Mitra Politica. In the previous period, Berman served as Secretary of DK and is currently Plt. DK PWI Jakarta.
