The North Kolaka Resort Police (Polres) examined a member of the police who abused a teenager with the initials MF (17) at Bahari Beach, Pakue Village, North Pakue District, North Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra).

North Kolaka Police Chief AKBP Arief Irawan said the case of alleged abuse by Kendari Police personnel had been taken over to the North Kolaka Police.

"Today we have taken over, according to procedures there are actions rather than discipline," said Arief as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 18.

The police are currently investigating the perpetrators, namely Bripda RE.

"We have secured the perpetrators and we have acted in accordance with the applicable police code of ethics," he said.

Meanwhile, Kendari Police Chief Kombes Aris Tri Yunarko conveyed that the criminal handling of Bripda RE was handed over to the North Kolaka Police because of the location of the crime scene (TKP).

The code of ethics process of Bripda RE will be carried out by the Kendari Police, where the perpetrators serve.

"The crime will be handled by the North Kolaka Police, while the code of ethics will be at the Kendari Police," he said.

Previously, according to the victim's family, MF was abused for reprimanding Bripda RE while alone with his girlfriend at the TKP.

"This victim reprimanded (Bripda RE) and conveyed a ban on activities at Bahari Beach due to dark conditions, no lights and frequent crimes," said Andi Raodah, MF's family.

Not accepting being reprimanded by MF, said Raodah, Bripda RE then immediately told MF that he was a member of the police and had known the rules that were in effect without being spoken again by MF.

"Not long after, Bripda RE and MF quarreled, resulting in a fight. In fact, Bripda RE's colleagues came to the location and joined in ganging up on MF, so the victim had to be rushed to the nearest hospital," he said.

Currently, the police are also still developing and finding out who Bripda RE's colleagues helped him to abuse MF victims.
