Prosecutor's Office Detains Treasurer Of West Papua Manpower And Transmigration Office For Corruption Suspects For TPP Funds

MANOKWARI - The West Papua High Prosecutor's Office has detained the Treasurer of the Expenditure of the Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) of West Papua Province, Aldon Hurich H Nakoh, for 20 days at the Class II B Manokwari Prison.

Head of the West Papua High Prosecutor's Office, Harli Siregar, said the detention was carried out after investigators named Aldon Hurich H Nakoh as a suspect in the alleged corruption of additional employee income funds (TPP) for the October-November 2023 period.

"As of March 18, 2024, investigators have determined to detain the suspect in the next 20 days," said Harli as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 18.

\Aldon Hurich H Nakoh together with the suspect Frederik DJ Saidui, the Head of the West Papua Manpower and Transmigration Office signed a payment order (SPP) and a two-month payment order (SPM) for the lack of TPP funds.

Suspect Aldon Hurich H Nakoh then disbursed Rp423,225,165 for the lack of TPP funds in October 2023 and Rp420,893,044 TPP in November 2023 without attendance from the Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) of West Papua.

"After being disbursed, the expenditure treasurer did not transfer from the official account to the accounts of each employee," explained Harli.

In addition, said Harli, the suspect Aldon Hurich H Nakoh and the suspect Frederik DJ Saidui also agreed to sign the SPP and SPM for the payment of expert services for the January-December 2023 period.

In fact, the payment of services for experts as much as Rp230 million is not listed in the Budget Implementation Document (DPA) of the West Papua Manpower and Transmigration Office in 2023.

"It turns out that in 2023 there will be no experts at the West Papua Manpower and Transmigration Office," said Harli.

According to him, the act of abuse of authority by the two suspects resulted in state financial losses of approximately Rp. 1.074 billion, and investigators are still waiting for the results of the calculation from the auditor.

The two suspects were charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.

"So now we have detained two suspects. Suspect Frederik DJ Saidui has been detained first (1 March 2024)," said Harli.
