JAKARTA - The COVID-19 pandemic has caused the world economy including Indonesia to contract in 2020. However, this year's economic recovery has begun to show signs of improvement. For one thing, vaccinations have been carried out by all countries, including Indonesia.

The Executive Chairman of MNC Group Hary Tanoesoedibjo (HT) is indeed optimistic that the COVID-19 pandemic will end. He said he was ready to contribute to supporting Indonesia's economic recovery by creating jobs.

Furthermore, said the 33rd richest man in Indonesia, he was optimistic that Indonesia could bring in investors in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the MNC Group creates job opportunities by building the MNC Lido City area as a Special Economic Tourism Zone (KEK Tourism).

The plan is for the Lido City area to be built world-class tourist destinations. Like Disneyland and Universal Studio.

"Indonesia is a developing country, therefore the business potential is very large. We also create jobs in attracting investors in Indonesia," he said at the MNC Group Investor Forum 2021 event in a virtual video, Tuesday, March 2.

HT said the MNC Group Investor Forum 2021 aims to be a useful meeting place for issuers and investors with the presence of a base of millions of local MNC Group investors and strong access to AGCO's international network to 125 partners around the world.

In addition, HT hopes that the MNC Group Investor Forum event will be a means of education for the Indonesian people.

"As well as being a momentum where local investors are getting stronger and hosting in their own country, as well as opening up business development opportunities to foreign countries," he said.
