Jambi Police dispatched a team from the Ditreskrimum to the Tebo Police to provide assistance regarding the death of a student AH (13) who was allegedly unnatural at a boarding school in Tebo Regency on November 14, 2023.
The Head of Public Relations of the Jambi Police, Kombes Mulia Prianto, said that the Jambi Police Ditreskrimum team was sent to the Tebo Police to provide assistance related to the case.
"Regarding the handling of this case, the assistance team from the Jambi Police Ditreskrimum has gone to the Tebo Police, to provide assistance," he said in Jambi, Antara, Monday, March 18.
Mulia emphasized that this case has gone up to the investigation stage and has examined 47 witnesses. Then the investigators from the Ditreskrimum and the Tebo Police will hold a case title in the near future.
The 47 witnesses who have been examined consisted of 36 students, nine from the board of the Islamic boarding school, and two doctors.
Previously, AH (13) was found dead on the third floor or the rooftop of the boarding school dormitory. Based on a death certificate from a local clinic, it is said that the victim died from being electrocuted.
Then, on Monday, November 20, 2023, AH's grave was dismantled and autopsied to investigate the cause of death by the police.
The autopsy was approved by the family in the interest of disclosing the case. On December 6, 2023, the results of the exhumation came out and the doctor stated that the cause of the victim's death was a broken skull stem and also bleeding in the brain.
Regarding this case, the Jambi Police confirmed that the process of disclosing the case of the death of students in Tebo would continue.
