For The Sake Of Ukraine, German Chancellor Says Europe Will Spend A Lot In The Arms Market

Speaking at a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Berlin, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Friday, March 15, announced that European countries would buy weapons from the world market to support Ukraine's war on Russia.

Scholz said that the European people were united and determined to continue their support for Ukraine.

"Today we have agreed on several important points, and from now on we will buy more weapons for Ukraine, buy them in the world market, that is good progress," Scholz told reporters.

"Secondly, the production of military equipment will be expanded, as well as through cooperation with partners in Ukraine. And thirdly, as part of the Rammstein format, we formed a new coalition of capabilities for long-range rocket artillery," he said.

Launching ANTARA, Saturday, March 16, the Ramstein Air Base meeting, which became the forerunner of Rammstein's format, was an international conference organized by the United States which took place on April 26, 2022 at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss Russia's invasion of Ukraine, particularly Ukraine's defense capabilities, as well as seek to coordinate further support for Ukraine, including after the war.
