JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police will implement a traffic delay system engineering on the route to Merak, Ciwandan, and Bandar Bakau Jaya (BBJ) ports during the 2024 Eid homecoming flow.

Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, said the implementation of the scheme was to prevent buildup in the port area.

"When there is a situation where an increase in vehicles will be implemented by a delay system to regulate the flow of vehicle traffic to the port," Trunoyudo said as quoted on Saturday, March 16.

In the delay system scheme, the vehicle will be directed to the rest area. So, you can while resting while waiting for the reduced queue in the port area.

"The implementation of the delay system is carried out by directing vehicles to rest areas at kilometer 43 A and kilometer 68 A," he said.

Not only the delay system, Korlantas will also apply toll gate restrictions. Thus, the number of vehicles heading to the port can be controlled.
