Get The Chair Of The DKI Jakarta DPRD Leadership 2024-2029, NasDem Prioritizes Supervising The DKJ Bill

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party has again passed the Legislative Election (Pileg) of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. In the 2024 Legislative Election, NasDem was also one of the parties that received the seat of the leadership of the DKI DPRD for the 2024-2029 period.

Secretary of the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the DKI Jakarta NasDem Party, Wibi Andrino, said that ahead of the change of the DKI DPRD period, NasDem focused on overseeing the planning and implementation of the Draft Jakarta Special Region Law (RUU DKJ).

"The thing that is most visible in front is about the DKJ Bill. We have to pay close attention to the DKJ Bill. Of course we have a leader at the DPR RI level. So, we must convey input from the public," said Wibi at NasDem Tower, Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, Friday, March 15.

One of the regulatory plans contained in the DKJ Bill is the establishment of the Jabodetabek Agglomeration Area Council. This institution will be formed to make it easier for local governments to solve various urban problems.

Wibi emphasized that the preparation of provisions regarding the Agglomeration Council must be based on considerations of community equality.

According to him, the authority of the Agglomeration Council should not make the living space of the small people more limited just because Jakarta is initiated as a business and economic center after it is no longer the capital city.

"The first point is not to let agglomeration happen later, when it comes to flooding, there will be massive evictions. We hope that nothing like that," said Wibi.

"Don't let the wheels of development that are increasingly being pushed forward finally rule out marginalized communities in Jakarta," he added.
