Airlangga Explains The Great Role Of Golkar Wins Prabowo-Gibran, Alludes To 5 Ministers' Minimum Allotment

Chairman of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga Hartarto said the big role of the party he led in winning the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair in the 2024 Presidential General Election (Pilpres).

Airlanggame said from data from the Golkar Party Election Winning Board, around 75 to 80 percent of party cadres and sympathizers bearing the banyan tree chose the Prabowo-Gibran pair so that they could win 58 percent of the votes and win one round of the presidential election.

"This is the highest in history. So, the past history of the president who was supported not from Golkar was only supported by 53 percent, now 75 to 80 percent. This means that the Golkar Party is really in front to win Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran," said Airlangga when holding the celebration of the success of the Golkar Party in Badung Regency, Bali, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 15.

For this big role, Airlangga then calculated that Prabowo should be in Prabowo's leadership, the Golkar Party got a larger portion in the cabinet.

"I conveyed to Pak Prabowo about Golkar's contribution because we won in 15 provinces. That means we contributed 25 percent of the 58 percent victory," he said.

"So, if it's 25 percent, if you share it, it's okay to share a lot. We call five (menter positions) minimal, but if it's calculated the proportion of 25 percent, there's still a lot of rooms (rooms)," he added.

The thanksgiving activity, which was attended by the top ranks of the Golkar Party in order to celebrate the success of winning in 15 of the 38 provinces during the 2024 Pemilu.

From temporary data, the Golkar Party managed to place as many as 102 cadres who passed to the DPR.

Apart from that victory, Airlangga Hartarto, who is also the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, asked all of his cadres to continue to oversee the current government of Joko Widodo.

"We have to keep it so that it is successful and below we want it to be in 2025, once the new budget year, the newly elected government will be successful," he said.
