Acting Mayor Of Bandung, Proses Resignation Of Regional Secretary Ema Sumarna, A Corruption Suspect

BANDUNG - Bandung City Government (Pemkot) ensures that public services continue to run normally even though the Regional Secretary of Bandung City Ema Sumarna has resigned after being named a suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

"Government implementation continues. Especially is that public services must not be disrupted. Moreover, the service system at the Bandung City Government has gone well," said Head of the Bandung City Information and Communication Office, Yayan A. Brilyana, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, March 14.

For the resignation, Yayan revealed, the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono has positioned the Head of the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), Adi Junjunan Mustafa to immediately process it according to the procedure.

"Mr. Ema has indeed resigned since last Wednesday. The Acting Mayor also knows about it," he said.

A number of jobs are coordinated with regional assistants. So that all work can still be completed as planned.

In addition, Yayan emphasized that the Bandung City Government is currently focusing on fulfilling the availability of basic necessities to be maintained and safe during Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

"The availability of this basic need must still be maintained. The flow of goods distributed by goods must be maximized,"

The KPK today summoned Ema Sumarna to be examined as a witness in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of CCTV for the Bandung Smart City Program, which ensnared former Bandung Mayor Yana Mulyana as a suspect.

From the data collected, Ema is not alone. There were four other people who were also named suspects by the KPK, from members of the Bandung City DPRD namely Riantono, Achmad Nugraha, Ferry Cahyadi and Yudi Cahyadi.
