JAKARTA - Officers from the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency and the police continue to take action against motorized vehicles on a number of roads in the morning and evening.
"The action was carried out simultaneously in 5 areas of Jakarta from 07.30 to 10.00 and 16.00 to 18.00," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo in his statement, Wednesday, March 13.
In the last week of action on weekdays, namely March 4 to 8, the number of vehicles against the direction taken in the form of ticketing as many as 350 vehicles.
Meanwhile, over the past two weeks, the number of motorized vehicles that were ticketed due to the opposite direction from February 22 to March 8, 2024 was 973 vehicles.
Syafrin hopes that this action is expected to foster awareness and discipline in traffic through compliance with traffic signs, directional instructions, and traffic officers in order to create smoothness, security and safety on the road.
Furthermore, Syafrin said that the action of motorists against this direction was carried out regularly 2 times a day in the morning and evening to ensure smooth running and traffic order.
"The selection of the action location will be adjusted to the potential area for violations of the opposite direction," said Syafrin.
