JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) Lolly Suhenty said that there was a campaign at the Kuala Lumpur Voting Station (TPS), Malaysia.

"There is a distribution of campaign materials in the form of leaflets, pamphlets, brochures, and business cards containing names, party serial numbers, vision and mission by the legislative candidates of the DPR RI, which were distributed by unknown people around the World Trade Center building," Lolly said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 13.

However, Lolly said the results of the supervisory clarification stated that the subject who campaigned did not fulfill the element of violation, so a prevention mechanism was carried out.

The next note, said Lolly, is that there are polling stations that are not opened on time because there are miscommunications related to the presence of TPS supervisors and the presence of election participants who have not been present at the TPS location.

According to him, the PSU should have been carried out on time at 08.00 local time.

However, he continued, there were polling stations that had just opened at 08.45 local time.

Furthermore, he said, there was no help desk or help desk service at the TPS, so there were voters queuing up and the registration officer did not know the consultation place when there were problems on the registration desk.

Then, Lolly said that there was a security disturbance at the Kuala Lumpur PSU TPS.

"On the sidelines of the queue process in the holding room on the 2nd floor there was a commotion because voters voiced chants to support their respective choices," he said.

Lolly then mentioned the next note was the accumulation of voter queues.

"There are queues of registration piling up because there is only one officer from the Indonesian KPU at the end of the queue door, and checking the suitability of photos on identity documents with the face of voters. At this stage, voters who do not carry identities are not allowed to enter the registration room," he said.

He said the next note was that there was inaccurate voter data.

"Based on checking the Online DPT Check and the identity documents for prospective voters, there are voters who use their voting rights in Kuala Lumpur, but PSU is not registered as DPT," he said.

Finally, he said, there are several sound cities that are not sealed and there are no lock or cable links.

"There are several ballot boxes that are not sealed and there are no cable locks/bonds, namely polling stations 4, polling stations 18, polling stations 19, while those without cable locks/bonds are polling stations 11, and polling stations 16," said Lolly.

Previously, the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) held the Kuala Lumpur PSU on Sunday (10/3) with two methods, namely KSK (City of Mobile Voices) and TPS.

The Indonesian KPU has determined that the DPT Abroad (DPTLN) for PSU in Kuala Lumpur has reached 62,217 people consisting of 42,372 TPSLN voters and 19,845 KSK voters.

This figure was obtained from the total voters who attended Kuala Lumpur through three previous voting methods, both those recorded on the permanent voter list (DPT), additional voter lists (DPTb), and special voter lists (DPK).

The total voters for the three methods recorded in the DPT, DPTb, and DPK reached 78 thousand. The 78 thousand numbers are databases for updating with three categories, namely validity of addresses, multi-plane analysis, and validity of population identification numbers (NIK) and passport numbers.

Bawaslu recommended that the PSU be in Kuala Lumpur after stating that they found administrative violations in the implementation of the 2024 General Election by the Kuala Lumpur Foreign Election Committee (PPLN).

According to KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022, the recapitulation of the 2024 General Election is scheduled to take place from February 15 to March 20, 2024.
