PALEMBANG - The Golkar Party won the highest vote in the electoral district (dapil) of South Sumatra I by recording 470,829 votes. This was announced by the Chairman of the Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) of South Sumatra Province, Andika Pranata Jaya, in a national recapitulation meeting at the KPU RI Office, Jakarta, Monday, March 11.

The South Sumatra electoral district I also presented intense competition between several other political parties. In second place, the NasDem Party won 427,494 votes, while the Gerindra Party took third place with 299,754 votes. Followed by PDI Perjuangan in fourth place with 219,186 votes and PKB in fifth place with 201,861 votes.

The total number of voters who exercise their right to vote in the electoral district reaches 2,485,907 voters, with 2,252,279 valid votes and 233,628 invalid votes.

In addition, based on the results of the recapitulation of votes, here are the votes acquired by political parties in the South Sumatra electoral district I:

The 2024 election is held to elect the president, vice president, members of the DPR RI, members of the DPD RI, as well as members of the provincial and district/city DPRD. The number of final voter lists (DPT) at the national level reached 204,807,222 voters.

For the presidential and vice presidential elections, there are three pairs of candidates who fight, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md.

In addition, the legislative elections were attended by 18 national political parties and six local political parties as participants. The recapitulation of the 2024 General Election is scheduled to take place from February 15 to March 20, 2024, in accordance with KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022.
