Ahead Of Ramadan, Police Arrest 3 Specialists Of Robbery In Tangerang Regency

TANGERANG - Ahead of Ramadan, the police arrested three youths suspected of being specialists in motorcycle theft (curanmor) in the Tangerang Regency area. The 3 people had the initials AR, CH and RE.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tangerang Police, Kompol Arief N Yusuf, said that the three perpetrators had acted as many as 19. In his action he targeted his targets randomly.

"They (the perpetrators) are looking for motorbike targets randomly. They are traveling around to find targets using motorbikes," said Arief in his statement, Sunday, March 10.

Arief also said that they always share roles to smooth out their crimes. As for the role of the perpetrators, namely, RE stores a T key and provides a motorbike for transportation when committing theft.

"AR is a jockey and stores the stolen motorbike. CH oversees the location when committing theft," he said.

On his occasion, Arief revealed that during the arrest of the three perpetrators, they were arrested at different locations. In which case, one of them was arrested while trying to store the stolen motorbike to his hiding place.

"Our members also found evidence in the form of a T key used during the action. Then the stolen motorbike that had not been sold by the perpetrators," he explained.

After that, development was carried out and finally the arrest of two other perpetrators in another location. Currently, the perpetrators have been determined and charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 5 years.

"The threat of a sentence of 5 years in prison," he concluded.
