Teachers Not Allowed To Add Ramadan Holidays 2024

PALANGKARAYA - Palangkaraya City Education Office, Central Kalimantan reminded education units in local cities not to add holidays or collective leave in the month of Ramadan 1445 Hijri.

Secretary of the Palangkaraya City Education Office, Aprae Vico Ranan, said that of course the local Education Office had also made regulations related to holidays or collective leave and technical learning during Ramadan.

"I remind you again not to let the education unit add Ramadan holidays, because this education unit is an example for students in every school," said Vico as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, March 10.

The number two person in the Palangkaraya City Education Office said that educators during Ramadan holidays can certainly assign assignments to students through module books that students already have, by making announcements in whatsapp groups of parents of students that have been made.

This is done of course so that students during holidays not only play, but they are also obliged to study with the homework (PR) that has been borne by them.

"Yes, we have instructed each school. This is so that children can take advantage of holidays at the beginning of Ramadan properly and not just play," he explained.

Vico also advised teaching staff and students to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Because the current weather in Palangkaraya City is quite extreme, therefore, if they do not maintain good health, it will certainly be easy to catch an epidemic that appears in the current weather.

"It is better to anticipate than to have happened, therefore we are not tired of reminding them so that what is expected does not happen to them," said Vico.
