JAKARTA - KPU chairman Hasyim Asy'ari hopes that Indonesian citizens in Malaysia can participate in the re-voting which will be held at the Son of the World Trade Center (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur, Sunday (10/3).

"We also hope that various Indonesian community communities in Kuala Lumpur will follow this development and participate, actively participating in re-voting activities in Kuala Lumpur," said Hasyim as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 8.

He revealed that KPU members who are currently in Kuala Lumpur have held a meeting with representatives of election participants to socialize re-voting activities (PSU).

According to Hasyim, PSU information has also been submitted to various Indonesian communities in Kuala Lumpur. The information is in the form of a PSU location to the polling method (TPS).

"So that voters also know and the names in the DPT (permanent voter list) are as stipulated in the Election Law," he added.

Then, the KPU has also submitted a copy of the DPT to the election participants, be it the presidential and vice presidential candidates and political parties at the central level to Kuala Lumpur.

Hasyim explained this matter to find out the number of voters in the DPT, which names will use the right to vote using the mobile ballot box (KSK) method and polling stations (TPS).

"In detail, by name and also how much will be served at KSK number 1 to KSK number 120, as has been carried out in the previous vote," explained Hasyim.

The KPU has set a permanent overseas voter list (DPTLN) for re-voting in Kuala Lumpur as many as 62,217 people consisting of 42,372 TPSLN voters and 19,845 KSK voters.

KPU chairman Hasyim Asy'ari said on Monday (4/3) that the KPU obtained this figure from the total voters present in Kuala Lumpur through three previous voting methods, both recorded on the final voter list (DPT), additional voter lists (DPTb), and special voter lists (DPK).

The total voters for the three methods recorded in the DPT, DPTb, and DPK reached 78 thousand people. The 78 thousand numbers are databases for updating with three categories, namely validity of addresses, multi-plane analysis, and validity of population identification numbers (NIK) and passport numbers.
