Anies Concerning The Right To Advertisement Rights For The Presidential Election: No Need To Rush, The Final Results Of The Election Have Not Come Out

JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate Anies Baswedan emphasized that the process of the right to inquiry in the DPR does not need to rush. Anies said the process was still waiting for the KPU to determine the results of the 2024 General Election.

"The time is still a long time. Just not the announcement of the KPU. So I don't think there is anything to rush today. The process is going on now. The final results of the election haven't come out yet," said Anies after Friday prayers at the Bintaro Grand Mosque, quoted by Kumparan, Friday, March 8.

Anies emphasized that the right of inquiry in the DPR will roll on even though it takes time.

"If there is a statement, hold that statement. The habits of friends are shaken, try to make it a polemic. Right, it was said two Fridays ago," he said.

Separately, vice presidential candidate Mahfud MD agreed with the opinions of the 10th Vice President and 12 Jusuf Kalla or JK who said the 2024 election was the worst democratic party in history. Thus, he assessed that the right of inquiry to investigate allegations of fraud must be rolled out in the DPR.

"If I just saw Pak JK's lecture at UI yesterday, this right of inquiry is needed," Mahfud told reporters in Jakarta, Friday, March 8.

Mahfud assessed that this fraud could be a tradition for every election if it was just left alone. "The person who will win is the person who has the most access to power and who has the most money, and wants to misuse money. That's what Pak JK said, yes," he said.

"If the worst election is not clarified through the angket process, then in time there will be a political crisis and an economic crisis. The economic crisis is said to have occurred in the next few months," he continued.
