Demonstration In Front Of The DPR RI Building, Police Close One Road

JAKARTA - Police officers began closing Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto, to be precise in front of the DPR RI Building, Central Jakarta on Friday, March 8 at around 14.30 WIB.

"We will divert the cross-section that will lead to the front of the DPR Building, insulation on Pulau Dua," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro when confirmed.

The closure or diversion of traffic flow around the DPR RI is situational.

"Traffic flow engineering is enforced to see the development of the dynamics of the situation on the ground," he said.

From VOI's observation at the location, the Transjakarta bus lane on Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto, precisely in front of the DPR RI Building, Central Jakarta can still be crossed by public transportation. Toll roads are also still monitored smoothly.

In addition, the police have built a guardrail that crosses the section of Jalan Gatot Subroto, precisely in front of the DPR RI Building, Central Jakarta.

This guardrail was created because there were pros and cons of the demonstration masses with the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"Vehicles from the inner toll road that will go to the toll exit in front of the DPR RI are still open," he said.

Demonstrations were carried out from various elements of society, students to students at the DPR RI Building, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta on Friday, March 8.

To secure the action, the Central Jakarta Metro Police deployed 2,678 joint personnel in front of the MPR RI DPR Building.
