JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Maruli Simanjuntak received the Honorary Anti-Terror Brevet award from the Counterterrorism Unit (Satgultor) 81 Kopassus, at the Kopassus Headquarters, Cijantung, Jakarta, last Thursday.
The Brevet was given because it had traveled and conquered various Anti-Terror Management (Gultor) materials which were prerequisites for obtaining the highest brevets in the TNI Kopassus unit.
"Today I am grateful to be able to get this award. Hopefully this honorary brevet can bring me closer to this Gultor unit," Maruli said in a press release received by ANTARA, Friday, March 8.
Not only that, Maruli also praised the spirit of the young troops who seemed to have a strong determination in carrying out combat exercises.
Therefore, his staff will try to support the spirit of Kopassus troops in combat training by providing qualified facilities.
"We are trying to facilitate suggestions and infrastructure for anti-terror units, including in Kopassus, I think that", said Maruli.
To note, Kopassus is an elite troop in the ranks of the Indonesian Army who has special qualifications and has experience in carrying out various combat assignments. The awarding of this Anti-Terror Brevet is an acknowledgment of Kasad's dedication and commitment in raising this anti-terror unit.
