JAKARTA - Commission III of the DPR received a complaint from PT Tri Bakti Sarimas regarding legal intimidation starting from legal engineering against a company operating in Kuansing Regency, Riau. This complaint was made by PT Tri Bakti Sarimas (FFB) to get protection from the commission in charge of legal issues. In the meeting with general opinion (RDPU) chaired by Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR Habiburokhman, PT FFB's attorney, Andry Christian said that the effort to ask for legal protection against the DPR was carried out because the determination of the status of the suspects against the two leaders of PT TBS. In addition, there are also allegations of irregularities and legal defects, especially in the auction process allegedly carried out by related elements in the Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) auction process against assets belonging to PT TBS. Andry explained, on December 28, 2023, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) through the State Wealth and Auction Service Office on December 28, 2023, conducted an auction of land owned by PT FFB consisting of 14 plots of land intended for oil palm plantations covering an area of 17,612,5723 hectares or 176,125,723 square meters located in Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. PT TBS, said Andry, has been running its business and has participated in building local areas since 1986. "The land was previously used as collateral for credit facilities at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk. (BRI) in the form of a credit facility 'Perjanjian Kredit Transactional Khusus Kredit Modal Kerja (KMK), Forex Line and Pengakuan Kebalan, since 2018. Due to being affected by COVID-19, in 2022 PT TBS has difficulty paying installments to BRI. Then, said Andry, BRI in its answer letter Number B.643-CRR/WRR/WRD/12/2023 dated December 19, 2023, stated the conditions for cancellation of the auction.
