Jumping From A Motorbike, Fraudster Modus Donation Of Mosques Trying To Escape When Taken To The Police Station

JAKARTA - Residents of Gang Babah, Lubang Buaya, Cipayung managed to arrest a fraudster by asking for fictitious donations on behalf of foundations and mosques.

The arrest began when the perpetrator was walking around the residential area by asking for donations for foundations and mosques. However, because the perpetrator's movements were very suspicious, the perpetrator was finally secured by residents.

The perpetrator was detained at the RT 01/03 neighborhood management office, Lubang Buaya Village. The perpetrators were also interrogated by residents and local environmental administrators.

Of the many questions given to the perpetrators by the residents, the perpetrator finally admitted the fraud. Meanwhile, from the perpetrator's bag, it was found that proposals, hundreds of thousands of cash from the results of asking for donations.

The head of the local RT, Narih, said the perpetrator was around 40 years old. At first he admitted that the action was carried out with 5 other friends.

"Initially a report from residents, that someone argued asking for donations for the construction of a mosque. I called the perpetrator to check his identity and the proposal submitted. After checking everything, it turned out that the proposal was fake. So it was just a scan, not a wet stamp. The name of the mosque was not appropriate after we checked," he told reporters, Thursday, March 7.

From the results of the fraud by asking for donations from house to house, it was found that the money from the fraud was around Rp. 300 thousand.

"When we checked the contents of the collected money, a total of around 300 thousand. After we interrogated, then he admitted. He was the reason for the proposal himself for Rp. 18 thousand," he said.

Residents who were furious at the perpetrator's fraud mode, had given emphasis to the perpetrators. Furthermore, the perpetrator was handed over to the Cipayung Police along with evidence of fraud.

However, when he was about to enter the police station, the perpetrator tried to escape by jumping off the motorbike. But the effort was unsuccessful, the perpetrator was still successfully secured by officers.

"When the perpetrator was taken to the Sempet Police, he didn't want to, he jumped and wanted to run away," he said.

Until now, the perpetrator is still being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cipayung Police, East Jakarta.
