Selling Toddlers Age IDR 4 Million, Mothers In Labuhanbatu Arrested By Police

LABUANBATU - A young mother in Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) has the heart to sell her own four-month-old biological child to a housewife for IDR 4 million.

The police, who sniffed out the child's buying and selling activities, managed to catch a young mother named Putri Nauli Hutahuruk (18 years old) and also her buyer Khairunnisa Tanjung and secured the child who was sold.

The two suspected child trafficking actors could only bow down when officers escorted them to take part in the case at the Labuhanbatu Police Headquarters, on Wednesday, March 6.

Labuhanbatu Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Bernhard Malau revealed that the case of buying and selling children originated from information from the public. Officers then conducted an investigation and succeeded in arresting the young mother in the Pinang Sorik District area, Central Tapanuli Regency, at the end of January 2024.

From the results of the development, the police then arrested the buyer of the child at his residence.

"When secured against the PNH perpetrators, the officers also secured Rp 1.1 million of the remaining money from the sale of their children. When arresting KT, we also secured the child who was sold," said Bernhard.

From the results of the examination, it was revealed that the alleged perpetrator had the heart to do this because he was embarrassed because his son was born from an illicit relationship with his girlfriend.

Now Putri and Khairunnisa have been named suspects and are languishing in the detention cell of the Labuhanbatu Police Headquarters, North Sumatra.
