Semarang City Government Secretary Claims To Becar KPK Regarding Activities In The Region

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked for information from the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the Semarang City Government (Pemkot) Iswar Aminuddin. This summons is related to the investigation into alleged corruption that is being carried out.

"(About, red) activities in Semarang City," said Iswar at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 5.

Iswar did not specify the activity. However, there are allegations that the budget used is the 2024 APBD.

"If I position as a regional government budget team, it's an initial program. However, the implementation is in regional apparatus organizations (OPD), yes, several agencies have been invited," he said.

Not much was conveyed by Iswar after undergoing a request for information. He only confirmed that there was an investigation carried out by the anti-corruption commission.

"Investigation, yes. Nothing. If I'm just the process from the beginning of the implementation, yes," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK admitted that there was an investigation into alleged corruption that allegedly occurred in the Semarang City Government, Central Java. However, the Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri, did not want to go into detail.

"It is true that there are KPK activities there in the investigation process," Ali told reporters quoted on Monday, February 19.

Ali said the investigation process is usually closed. Thus, the anti-corruption commission will not convey it to the public and information will only be disclosed to the public after the investigation begins.
