The Man From Wajo Was A Specialist In Trans-Provincial Thieves, 101 Motorbikes Were Stolen, The Most In Makassar

MAKASSAR - The man initial Arg (36) from Wajo Regency, South Sulawesi, the perpetrator of motorbike theft from across the province was arrested by the police. Perpetrators stole more than 100 motorbikes in 97 different regions.

"The suspect is suspected of having committed theft and embezzlement of more than 100 motorbikes starting from 2018 until now with 97 TKPs that he remembered. Divided into 5 provinces and 27 districts/cities", said Head of Sub-Directorate IV, Directorate of General Criminal Investigation Police Regional South Sulawesi Suprianto, told reporters, Monday, February 1.

The incident was revealed after the perpetrator was caught in a theft case in Barru Regency, South Sulawesi.

"The suspect in the motorbike theft case has been secured on the Barru - Makassar Tuwung main road, Sumpangminangae Maccile Village, Barru District, Barru Regency, after receiving a report from the victim that a motorcycle theft had occurred", he explained.

After being arrested, the Arham perpetrator admitted stealing hundreds of motorbikes in various districts and 5 provinces.

Motorcycle theft is mostly carried out in Makassar City. In Makassar, the perpetrator stole dozens of motorbikes.

"In Makassar, the alleged perpetrators have taken 16 motorbikes on several roads in Makassar City, since 2019, 2020, 2021," he said.

The police are still developing an investigation into the motorcycle theft case. I am looking for a stolen motorcycle holder.

"Meanwhile, searches and developments are being carried out to the collectors. There are still a lot of Makassar locations, but the suspect has no longer remembered the location", he said.
