Powerboat F1 Security Is An Important Capital For Bige

The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) said that the security carried out by the North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda) at the F1 Powerboat international event was an important capital for Balige, Toba Regency.

"What the Police are doing, is actually an investment in the future for Balige to ensure safe tourist areas," said Kompolnas member Yusuf Warsyim as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, March 3.

Yusuf said that the international event that has been held twice is in a safe atmosphere, so that people or tourists who visit will continue to come to Balige.

"Because we see that the security of the Powerboat F1 is as planned, the use of technology goes well, hopefully, the effectiveness will continue to run smoothly in the future," he said.

Kompolnas as the supervisor and functional of the integrity performance of the National Police, Yusuf assessed that compared to last year, there have been many changes in the international event F1 Powerboat, such as managing the community or tourists who visit it is different, its monitoring is also centralized by using technology.

"In addition, we see that in this area there are no prominent incidents, both between officers and visitors to carry out regular early detections," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Inspector General of Police Agung Setya Imama Effendi, said that the 2024 F1 Powerboat security pattern prioritizes a technology-based security system.

"Such as face recognition (face identification), installation of 50 CCTVs monitoring the security and social security situation, the use of an integrated operational system (SOT)," he said.

Agung said that on the first day of the implementation of the Powerboat F1, all personnel who carried out security were well.

"So far, the security and security situation during the F1 Powerboat has been running safely and comfortably and nothing stands out," he said.

This international event F1 Powerboat involved 1,170 personnel consisting of Kodam I/Bukit Barisan, North Sumatra Police, Highway Traffic Service (DLLAJ), both North Sumatra Province and Toba Regency, Satpol PP, BPBD, Basarnas and other related parties.
