State Losses Due To Langgur Market Project In Southeast Maluku Recorded At IDR 2.58 Billion

AMBON - It was recorded that there were state financial losses arising in the alleged corruption case in the construction of Langgur Market, Southeast Maluku Regency, Maluku from 2015 to 2018, according to the Maluku Attorney General's Office, reaching Rp. 2.58 billion.

"The budget for the Langgur Market construction project was disbursed in stages and the largest value in 2015 reached Rp. 12.4 billion," said Acting Head of Penkum and Public Relations of the Maluku Attorney General's Office, Aizit P. Latuconsina in Ambon, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, March 2.

Then in the 2016 fiscal year amounting to IDR 3.2 billion, in 2017 IDR 3.4 billion and added IDR 1.4 billion, and in 2018 IDR 2.5 billion.

However, the project's physical work was not completed, resulting in a state financial loss of Rp2,582,762,109.

According to him, there are three people who have been named suspects in this case, of which three people have been detained by the prosecutor first.

Those who were first detained and placed in the State Detention Center (Rutan Ambon) since the beginning of this year were suspects DF as the commitment-making official (PPK) along with RT who is the supervisory consultant in the project.

The prosecutor also named the Director of PT. Fajar Baru Gemilang with the initials TB as a suspect in this case since January 31, 2024 with DF and RT, but the person concerned did not fulfill the investigator's summons to be examined as a suspect.

"Even on Wednesday, (28/2) the suspect TB who came from Dobo, Aru Islands Regency tried to escape to Denpasar, Bali but was finally caught at Pattimura International Airport Ambon when the plane he was traveling in transited here," explained Aizit.

The suspect TB was arrested by the investigation team for the Maluku Attorney General's Office, led by Sofyan Saleh as the Head of Investigation with Rozali Afifudin (Kasi Penuntaan) of the Maluku Prosecutor's Office at around 12:46 WIT.

The Investigative Team, which previously knew the planned departure of the suspect TB, then carried out reconnaissance at Ambon Pattimura International Airport and managed to arrest the person concerned when he got off the plane.

After being arrested, TB was immediately taken to the Maluku High Prosecutor's Office using a detention car to undergo examination as a suspect and then deposited at the Class IIA Ambon Detention Center.

After undergoing examination as a suspect, investigators immediately detained TB and left him in the Class IIA Ambon Detention Center.
