Police Hope That The Mass Demonstration Of Jokowi's Impeachment At The DPR RI Building Is Not Anarchic

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro appealed to the mass demonstrations that would express their opinion in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building so as not to carry out anarchic actions and maintain security.

"We appeal to corlaps (field coordinators) and orators to carry out speeches that do not provoke the masses. They are not anarchic and do not damage public facilities," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro when confirmed by VOI, Friday, March 1, morning.

Kombes Susatyo asked the demonstrators to hold a peaceful demonstration and not impose their will.

"Respect and respect other road users who will pass in front of the DPR/MPR RI," he said.

Even so, the joint apparatus of the Central Jakarta Metro Police has carried out various security measures to anticipate various possible disturbances to the security and social order.

"Preparations and security readiness that we have carried out, we appeal to all parties to always maintain security and order, so that demonstrations can run safely, orderly and conducively," he said.

In the demonstration later, the demonstrators from various elements brought their respective demands. The mass groups who are members of Gema 0103 (March 1 Community Movement) bring demands related to Jokowi's impeachment, reject the results of the 2024 presidential election, replace the KPU commissioners and re-presidential elections.

Meanwhile, the People's Action group of the Universe brought 3 demands of the people at the demonstration later. The three demands are lowering the price of basic necessities, supporting the right of inquiry and disqualification 02, impeaching Jokowi.

The mass group belonging to SEMA PTKIN said that the national action of students with the civil society coalition. This mass group brought demands related to supporting the conduct of the right of inquiry, the high price of basic commodities, environmental destruction and agrarian conflicts, and the impeachment of President Joko Widodo.

However, mass groups supporting the government also attended a demonstration at the DPR/MPR RI Building later. The mass group from the Jabodetabek Student Alliance actually brought demands from a number of other mass groups.

The Jabodetabek Student Alliance held an action against the right to inquiry and impeach the president. "The opponent of the nation's dividers, escort the KPU and Bawaslu, the people of harmony, Indonesia is peaceful".
