The National Police stated that the alleged defamation, slander and false news case reported by the Head of the National Campaign Team (TKN) Rosan Perkasa Roeslani against Connie Rahakundini Bakrie was still in the clarification stage. The Directorate of Cyber Crime is said to be handling the case.

"The process is still in the clarification stage by the Directorate of Cyber Crime, Bareskrim Polri," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, to reporters quoted on Thursday, February 29.

However, it did not specify who had been clarified at the stage of handling the case. It was only conveyed, if the reporting party, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, had been questioned.

"We make sure this process is in the clarification stage for the reporter and witnesses," said Trunoyudo.

Rosan Perkasa Roeslani reported Connie Rahakundini Bakrie to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Monday, February 12. The report is registered with the number LP/B/52/II/2024/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI.

Rosan's report relates to Connie's statement that Rosan conveyed that there was a scenario during Prabowo Subianto's leadership, only 2 years if he was elected President of Indonesia in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) contestation.

Meanwhile, Connie made this statement on the YouTube channel 'Canal Anak Bangsa'.

In this report, Connie is suspected of committing a criminal act of defamation, slander and misleading fake news as referred to in Article 45 paragraph (4) in conjunction with Article 27A UURI Number 1 of 2024 the second amendment to UURI number 11 of 2008 concerning ITE and/or Article 310 of the Criminal Code, Article 311 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 14 and Article 15 UURI Number 1 of 1946.
