Israeli Army Hits Hezbollah Infrastructure In South Lebanon

JAKARTA - The Israeli military said it destroyed military infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah group in southern Lebanon in response to rocket attacks from the group in northern Israel.

The Israeli military, through a statement, said its planes attacked the military complex and infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in Jibchit Village, Mansouri, and others in southern Lebanon, reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Tuesday, February 27.

The statement also said Israeli artillery attacked targets -- without specifying -- near the city of Yaroun, and claimed it could destroy threats.

On Tuesday morning, Israeli soldiers confirmed a rocket attack from Hezbollah to a Meron air control base in northern Israel.

Tensions erupted along the Lebanese and Israeli borders amid a shootout between Israeli and Hezbollah forces, in the deadliest clashes since both sides were involved in a full-scale war in 2006.

Tensions on the border broke out amid an ongoing Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip, following cross-border attacks by Hamas on October 7 last year.
