The Presence Of The Election Panwas In The District Of Central Papua Is Still Mysterious, Bawaslu Is Still Searching

BAWASLU - Member of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) Herwyn J. H. Malonda said that his party was still looking for a district election supervisory committee that was missing in Central Papua. Bawaslu continues to coordinate with related parties including the Employment Social Security Administration (BPJS). "We hope that one person will be found by the district supervisor, who is still being sought, because he is missing on the sidelines of carrying out his duties," said Herwyn at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture Building, Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, February 27. Meanwhile, Herwyn hopes that the recapitulation process and other stages of the election can run well. "Because the recapitulation is also quite heavy in implementation. It is not just a force that is deployed, issued, but psychologically facing existing problems that require extra energy, strong psychological needs, so that later we can get through all of this," he said. Therefore, he hopes that no more disasters will befall the ranks of election organizers, especially until the recapitulation process is complete on March 20, 2024. "Hopefully there will be no more disasters experienced by all levels of election organizers, and especially we hope that our ranks, election supervisors can be strengthened in facing tough tasks at this time," he said. Previously, the Chairman of the Indonesian Bawaslu Rahmat Bagja said that there had been a report from the election supervisory committee missing in Mimika Regency, Central Papua. "Until now, we are looking for it. The sub-district Panwas in Mimika Regency has not been caught since two days ago it disappeared in the forest, he said. Now it is being sought by the SAR team, and also by Bawaslu and the local police," said Bagja at the Indonesian Bawaslu Building, Jakarta, Friday (23/2). The 2024 election includes the presidential and vice presidential elections, members of the DPR RI, members of the DPD RI, members of the provincial DPRD, and members of the district/city DPRD with a national voter list (DPT) of 204,807,222 voters. The 2024 election was attended by 18 national political parties, namely (according to the serial number) of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Gerindra Party, PDI Perjuangan, Golkar Party, NasDem Party, Labor Party, and the Indonesian Gelora Party. Next, Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS), Partai Kebangkitan Nusantara (PKN), Partai Hanura, Partai Garuda, Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN), Partai Bulan Bintang (PBB), Partai Demokrat, Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI), Partai Perindo, Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP), and Partai Ummat. In addition, there are six local political parties as participants, namely the Aceh Nanggroe Party, the Atjeh Beusaboh Tha'at and Taqwa Generation Party, the Aceh Darul Party, the Aceh Aceh Party, the Aceh Prosperous Justice Party, and the Acehnese People's Independent Solidity Party.

Meanwhile, the presidential and vice presidential elections were followed by three pairs, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. serial number 3. According to KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022, the recapitulation of the 2024 General Election is scheduled to take place from February 15 to March 20, 2024.
