Menpan Claims Ministerial Office House In IKN Is Smaller Than Currently

JAKARTA - Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas said the ministerial official residence built in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) is smaller than the official residence in Jakarta today.

This was conveyed by Azwar Anas when answering questions about the issue of the minister's luxury house in IKN which became a public conversation.

"In fact, in my opinion, the minister's house which is now (built in IKN) is smaller than the house of the minister in Jakarta. It is smaller, the land is smaller, the building is also smaller," said Azwar Anas at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Monday, February 26.

Azwar emphasized that he did not talk about whether or not the ministerial official residence in IKN was luxurious or not, but according to him, the size of the ministerial official residence in IKN was smaller.

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the IKN Infrastructure Development Implementation Task Force (Satgas) revealed the interior and furniture of landed houses of ministerial positions in IKN using domestic products.

"Local products, because the spirit is really as much as possible if local products already exist, we will use them," said Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Implementation Task Force Danis Sumadilaga in Jakarta, Monday.

According to Danis, the use of local products in landed houses of ministerial positions is implemented to the floor tiles and lights.

Local products, he continued, were also used for the interior and furniture of the State Palace and the Presidential Office at IKN.

Danis menyampaikan perkembangan pembangunan rumah terbangan jabatan menteri sudah mencapai hampir 80 persen.

The Ministry of PUPR has completed the construction of two landed housing units for ministerial positions, as an example house (mock up) at IKN.
