Buy 3,000 Tramadol From Jakarta, 2 Men Arrested At The Mataram NTB Expeditionary Service Office

NTB - Mataram Police arrested two men with the initials RD (27) and LA (19) carrying 3,000 items of Tramadol sent from Jakarta.

Head of the Mataram Police Narcotics Unit AKP I Gusti Ngurah Bagus Suputra said the two residents of East Praya, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) were arrested while taking the goods at the expedition office.

"So, when we took their belongings we arrested them and found them in the package 3,000 items of Tramadol. The collection of goods was carried out at an expedition office in the Cakranegara area, Mataram," said Bagus in Mataram, NTB, Monday, February 26, which was confiscated by Antara.

Bagus said the arrests of the two took place on Sunday, February 25 at noon. Currently RD and LA are being held for further investigation.

From the results of the interim examination, LA was revealed as the buyer and owner of the goods. For the role of RD, it is still under investigation.

From the confessions of the two perpetrators, he said, the hard drug was ordered from the Jakarta area at a purchase price of Rp. 3 million.

"This is said to be the fifth order, so previously it has been ordered. He said since December 2023," said Bagus.

Regarding the purpose of the purchase, he continued, it was revealed for sales in the Central Lombok area. According to the confessions of the two perpetrators, there are quite a lot of hard drug enthusiasts in the Central Lombok area.

"So, they ordered to Jakarta because the market was clear. Per strip, fill in the 10 pills they can sell Rp. 100,000," he said.

Tramadol is included in the list of drugs Gevaarlijk or dangerous, aka hard drugs that are often abused to get drunk.

Furthermore, Bagus said that the examination of the alleged case of drug trafficking without a permit led to a violation of Article 435 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health in conjunction with Article 53 of the Criminal Code.
