Indonesian Navy Visits Saudi Arabia's Military After Humanitarian Mission For Palestine

JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Army (TNI) of the Navy (AL) visited the Saudi Arabian military after carrying out a humanitarian mission to deliver aid to Egypt for victims of the conflict in Gaza.

The visit was carried out by the Indonesian Navy using the Warship of the Republic of Indonesia (KRI) Dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat-992 (KRI RJW-992).

In an official press statement from the Indonesian Navy reported by ANTARA Monday, February 26, the Commander of the 2024 Egyptian Port Visit Task Force (Dansatgas), First Admiral TNI Sumarji Bimoaji, made the visit to improve diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

Sumarji's visit was received directly by the Saudi Commander of The Western Fleet, Rear Admiral Mansour bin Saud Al-Juadi, in Saudi Arabia.

Warm communication also occurred between the two representatives of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. Sumarji hopes that the visit can improve diplomatic relations between the two countries.

After making a diplomatic visit, the KRI carrying the Indonesian Navy troops immediately left for Indonesia via Batam. The trip will also take 20 days before finally arriving in Jakarta.

On a separate occasion, the Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL) Admiral Muhammad Ali conveyed to all Indonesian Navy soldiers to continue to provide the best in carrying out international peace missions, humanity, and international exercises.

He also conveyed a message to maintain the good name of the TNI, especially the Indonesian Navy, during the peace mission.
